Join award-winning playwright Gabriel Gbadamosi for a practical, floor based workshop on how to use narrative as a tool to explore depictions of time and geography in theatre.

A God Complex: a

‘an unshakable belief characterised by consistently inflated feelings of personal ability, privilege, or infallibility’

We are seeking new writing, essays, creative interpretation, reviews, interviews and photographic work that explore and respond to the title and theme ‘A God Complex’.

You are invited to submit work that expresses notions, ideas and theories on ‘A God Complex’: aspects of the human ego, narcism, creation, transcendence, allure, seduction, religion, elitism, either lateral or literal.

SUBMISSION WINDOW FOR 2018/19 PLAY LA WORKSHOP, OPEN NOW THROUGH JULY 1

We are very excited to announce that submissions for the next round of PLAY LA awards are now open!  

Winners will receive a $1,500 grant to develop a new play "from the ground up," as well as critiques from theatre, film and television professionals throughout the year-long development process. 

Former mentors include: Filmmaker, Mike Binder; Playwright, Lee Blessing; Producer, Nick Hamm; Warner Brother's Development Executive, Christopher Mack; Literary Agent. Kelly Miller; Critic, Steven Leigh Morris; Oscar winning screenwriter, Tom Schulman; Former CTG Literary Manager, Pier Carlo Talenti; Playwright and Show Runner, Craig Wright.
