The Moth is a recipient of a 2012 John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation MacArthur Award for Creative & Effective Institutions (MACEI) and recently received a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to fund its Global Community work with community organization in Africa and South Asia.
