Three Shadows Photography Art Centre is the leading art space in China dedicated solely to photography and new media. Founded in 2007 by two vanguard photographers -- RongRong and Inri -- in the village of Caochangdi on the edge of Beijing, it has since expanded to Xiamen in southern China. Both Three Shadows locations include an exhibition hall, branches of the independent +3 Gallery, an image production department, a photography education department, a book store, and a cafe. Three Shadows is devoted to elevating the status and relevance of Chinese contemporary photography on the global stage.
