Aleksander Betko is a contemporary artist whose work captures the definition of life in New York City. His work evokes New York’s storied past of the iconic 1980’s. Emigrating from Poland in the early 1980’s his family settled in New York and Aleksander began studying at The Art Students League as a child. After attending Purchase College to study fine art, Aleksander studied under master painter Harvey Dinnerstein. His work is a collection of paintings, drawings, and prints that depict the human condition and the land- scape where it takes place. His work has appeared in a number of group and solo shows as well as private collections and publications.
