The Snite Museum of Art, soon to be the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, is a unit of the University of Notre Dame, located in northwestern Indiana, about 90 miles from Chicago, IL. Its educational programs serve both the University students and faculty, the area K-12 schools, and the general members of the surrounding communities. It has a 30,000+ art collection and a sculpture park in which is being constructed the 70,000 sq. ft. Phase I of the new museum. The current museum staff size is 20 and we are adding a few more staff as needed for both the new art museum and the art research center to be created within the current Snite Museum of Art structure.
