- About -

My professional artistic journey began at Hartwick College (Oneonta, NY). There I studied glass making and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1984. Subsequently, I expanded my skills through ongoing studies at Pilchuck Glass School and working as Dale Chihuly’s assistant and technician. Desiring to share my knowledge and experience, I began instructing glass blowing at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle in 1992. I then went on to pioneer the educational program at Seattle Glassblowing Studio. Since in Bellingham, I have built my own glassblowing studio; participated in trade shows; completed several commissioned pieces in private and public locations; served on the Whatcom Art Museum Board of Directors, Bellingham Arts Commission, and Western Washington University’s College of Fine and Performing Arts Advisory Board; and received the Mayor’s Arts Award in Bellingham, WA and a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Liberty Museum in Philadelphia, PA.
