While CMU is the oldest degree-granting drama school in the country, we work hard to be a leading voice in the education of future generations of theatre artists who push to reform the way the industry treats its workers while maintaining the artistic integrity of their work. This requires that we center the least privileged among us as we examine structures of the theatre industry to evolve from practices that may be harmful to nurturing and collaborative practices.
