As a regional art museum that opened its doors in 1997, the Elmhurst Art Museum is committed to showing emerging and established contemporary artists and architects, with a focus on the Chicagoland area, in major exhibitions and programming in the McCormick House designed by Mies van der Rohe. The development of unique projects, public talks, involvement with our education center, and participation in public and school projects, along with the Museum’s growing collection, have been key foundations of the organization’s public offering.
