The Faculty of Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków was founded in 2012. The faculty of Intermedia and its curriculum span the categories of “new media” and “audiovisual production”, but this designation does not adequately express what we have experienced and intended as the most constructive element that makes our project able to promote growth and stimulate civilizational progress. A great majority of these new courses aim to educate and inspire students to combine traditional artistic aspirations with a new technological and semantic toolbox, and to expand on the traditional conception and function of art.
