Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling (KE) originated in Copenhagen (Denmark) in 1900 as an open, censored exhibition run by and for visual artists. Since the inception the exhibition's management, board and the changing juries have consisted by artists – and that is still the case. The core of KE is to create an inclusive platform where everyone, regardless of background, has the opportunity to apply and exhibit their works. This inclusive approach has meant that more than 6,000 artists have taken their first steps onto the Danish and international art scene through KE.
