Founded in March of 2016, Magenta Plains is a contemporary art gallery located in the Lower East Side that produces exhibitions with national and international artists working with digital media, sculpture, painting, and performance. With an emphasis on community, history, and newly emergent art, the gallery's mission is to foster context and meaning for the development of new ideas as well as to present and preserve older generations of artists' work.
