Ottavia Alloisio Crucitti is an independent curator, art organizer, and art advocate. She is working internationally and is temporarily based in Washington D.C. Her work focuses on the connection between art and the history of images, between art and political power, and the role that art, culture and their institutions play in social transformation. Ottavia has curated and co-curated multiple projects for the Percent for Art Program at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and Civic Art program at the Los Angeles County Arts Commission in the Civic Art Program. Her education includes a Master’s degree in Art History from the University of Rome – La Sapienza and the EHESS of Paris, a Master’s degree in Philosophy (Aesthetics and Politics) from the University of Rome – La Sapienza, and Master’s degree in Museum Studies from the New York University.
