Sometime around 1200 a now unknown patron or resident ordered the construction in the small fens village of Benington a church dedicated to All Saints. Closed as a church in 2003, residents responded by forming the Friends of All Saints and, in 2007, Benington Community Heritage Trust (BCHT). In 2017, after 10 years of fundraising and planning, the restoration and conversion works began- this was made possible only through the hard work of volunteers, residents, the diocese and the local voluntary sector and the support of funders.
