Introduction: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an Art Gallery Manager/Salesperson. Located in the vibrant heart of Buckhead Village, Atlanta, our contemporary art gallery offers a diverse range of artworks from emerging and established artists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, excellent sales skills, leadership qualities, and outstanding communication abilities. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership:

    • Lead the sales team in achieving gallery sales targets and objectives.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and maximize profitability.
    • Provide guidance, motivation, and support to sales staff to enhance their performance.
    • Foster a positive sales culture focused on customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.
       
  2. Art Gallery Management:

    • Oversee day-to-day gallery operations, including inventory management, gallery maintenance, and customer inquiries.
    • Ensure the gallery space is visually appealing, organized, and conducive to showcasing artworks effectively.
    • Coordinate with artists, curators, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and installation of artworks.
       
  3. Customer Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, collectors, and art enthusiasts.
    • Provide personalized assistance to customers, offering insights into artworks and assisting with purchases.
    • Host gallery events, exhibitions, and private viewings to engage existing clients and attract new prospects.
    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
       
  4. Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with gallery staff to develop marketing initiatives, promotional materials, and social media content.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss sales targets, performance metrics, and upcoming exhibitions.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and supported.
    • Serve as a mentor and coach to junior staff members, offering guidance on sales techniques and art knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in art sales, preferably within a gallery or art-related industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Knowledge of contemporary art trends, artists, and art market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with art inventory management systems.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by gallery events and exhibitions.
