Villa Filanda Antonini (VFA) Announces VFA Open Call 2024 for Artist Residency Supported by Culture Moves Europe.

Villorba, Italy - April 2, 2024 - Villa Filanda Antonini is excited to announce the VFA Open Call 2024, offering a unique opportunity for European artists to immerse themselves in a multidisciplinary artist residency experience at the striking setting of the Former Spinning Mill of Lancenigo. This initiative is supported by the not-for-profit Arper Feltrin Foundation and funded entirely by the Culture Moves Europe program, an initiative promoted by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut.

The VFA Open Call 2024 aims to select 1-2 European artists to reside in the villa during the coming fall. The residencies, lasting two months each, will offer artists the opportunity to explore and experiment through the languages of contemporary art, with a particular focus on creating site-responsive projects that actively engage the local community.

VILLA FILANDA ANTONINI (VFA) is an artist residency program based in Lancenigo, Treviso, Italy, dedicated to multidisciplinary experimentation through the languages of contemporary art. Founded in 2021 and supported by the not-for-profit Arper Feltrin Foundation, VFA provides a stimulating and creative environment for emerging and established artists from around the world. VFA's goal is to build a network of individuals and knowledge through site-responsive art projects that can trigger transformative cultural actions and processes for and with the local community.

CULTURE MOVES EUROPE  provides mobility grants for artists legally residing in one of the 40 Creative Europe countries and willing to develop a project in another Creative Europe country. Culture Moves Europe is fully funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut.
