CALL-OUT FOR PRODUCER

PROFILE

For the upcoming site-specific tree-performance Alive, Acting for Climate is searching for an experienced producer, who together with our project leader can create and execute a funding plan towards our premiere in Denmark Aug-Sep 2025.

ABOUT ALIVE

Alive is a site-specific and multidisciplinary performance that investigates the entanglement between the tree and the human, while highlighting the tree’s own experience. The performance draws on a range of artistic mediums to accomplish this. From vertical dance, relational costumes, video and light design, mirror scenography, and a soundscape, all mimicking the tree in different ways. Alive wants to develop the site-specific performance field, and reconnect the audience to the magnificence of the tree. Alive is in contact with theatres in Copenhagen about a Coproduction and premiere in Aug-Sep 2025. Alive is set to play for 60 people per performance, and plays in the evenings. Alive’s Artistic team: Amund L. Bentsen(directing), Charlotte Østergaard(Costume Design), Esther Wrobel(Artist), Louise Alenius(Composition), Jesper Berger(Video and light design), and more. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a producer with extensive experience in writing funding applications, who can help write a project plan and execute it towards the premiere 2025. Most of the text work for the application is already done, a lot of the material is already created, and the budget is drafted, therefore we are looking for a producer to further qualify this material. This work will be done in collaboration with Project initiator Amund L. Bentsen, and other production help from our organization.

TASKS

Create a project plan and strategy, including a funding plan, and execute it towards the premiere in Aug-Sep 2025. This plan should be developed between February-April 2024

Go through already existing project and funding material and further qualify it.

Write funding applications according to the funding plan.

QUALITIES

Previous experience in fundraising and applying for funding, especially within a Danish context, but also broader Nordic or European funding.

Producer experience in the performing arts field.

Preferably fluent in Danish and English.

Motivated to work within an organization where Environmentalism and sustainability are at the core

TIME FRAME

From February 2024 - September 2024 (with the hope of extending the contract further)

The amount of work will approximately be one month full-time work spread over half a year.

The time frame is flexible and can be negotiated.
