Call for Application: Studio Manager (m/f) for artist / photographer Claudius Schulze

Artist and researcher Claudius Schulze is looking for a studio manager / producer. Schulze works mostly with photography focusing on the interrelations of climate/global change, technology, and science.

Your main tasks will be researching project funding opportunities and drafting grant applications besides keeping track of day-to-day communications. You will work close with Claudius Schulze and assist him through subject research as well as inquiring and following up access and photo shoot requests. Also, coordination of curation and production of exhibitions and publications is part of your job.

Overall, your tasks involve administrative, research, as well as creative aspects. The job has a wide variety of responsibilities with ample opportunity for growth.

You should be precise, flexible, reliable, and independent, with the ability to comprehend and execute tasks efficiently. Excellent time managing skills and sense of responsibility are highly desired. You need to have very strong writing skills with high proficiency in English as well as German. Additional languages are an advantage. Good knowledge of the art / photography world and experience in art grant writing are required.

Working hours are flexible. Initially this job is freelance with about 1.5-2 days per week (monthly payment based on adequate hourly rate) but with prospect regular employment, full time with benefits.

Claudius Schulze has his studio in Berlin. Working from distance (Europe only) is possible under conditions.
