SONIA FRIEDMAN PRODUCTIONS (SFP) is an international production company responsible for some of the most successful theatre productions in London and New York.

Since 1990, SFP has developed, initiated and produced over 170 new productions and together the company has won a staggering 55 Olivier Awards, 30 Tonys and 2 BAFTAs.

In 2019, Sonia Friedman OBE was awarded ‘Producer of the Year’ at the Stage Awards for a record breaking fourth time. In 2018, Friedman was also featured in TIME 100, a list of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Current productions include: the UK premiere of The Book of Mormon, West End and UK & European tour, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London, New York, Melbourne, San Francisco & Hamburg, Mean Girls, New York, The Inheritance, New York, Uncle Vanya at the Harold Pinter Theatre, London, the world premiere of Tom Stoppard’s Leopoldstadt at Wyndham’s Theatre, London.

 

We are looking for an ambitious individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who loves a challenge. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional team player with a confident and professional communication style and flawless ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Being well organised and having a keen eye for detail is incredibly important in this role. You should of course be deeply passionate about theatre and focused on a career in sales and marketing, ideally with some experience of working in a similar environment already. Some evening and weekend work will be required from time to time.

Essential qualities / skills / experience

Excellent communication skills and discretion regarding sensitive information.

Excellent customer service with a polite and courteous manner.

Proven competency with Microsoft Office programmes (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel).

Strong literacy for the purpose of proofing editing and redrafting copy.

The ability to quickly learn new desirable skills.

Desirable qualities / skills / experience

Proven copywriting ability.

Basic knowledge of website maintenance.

Basic understanding of email marketing and social media strategy.

An understanding of the marketplace and of key producers and productions.

Strong numeracy and confidence interpreting sales reports.

Knowledge of key players in the West End and / or wider theatre industry.

This is contract is for a fixed term of 6 months.
