F. Schumacher & Co., America’s leading name for manufacturing and distributing fabric, wall covering, floorcovering and furnishings, is seeking a friendly and energetic Office Operations Associate. This vital team member will look after three office spaces at our Sixth Avenue corporate headquarters, as well as frequently messengering to our Archives in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. This role is paid hourly, 30 – 40 hours per week, and offers full health benefits! Hours can be flexible to allow for auditions, rehearsal, or whatever else you have going on.

YOU WILL:

  • Order and organize office supplies, pantry items, and groceries
  • Maintain Office Operations budget
  • Manage heavy volume mail room – sort and deliver mail and packages daily
  • Prepare space for internal events, furniture moves, cleaning services, etc.
  • Coordinate larger repairs and maintenance work with landlord, vendors, and contractors
  • Maintain the physical appearance of the location throughout the day
  • Recommend and establish solutions to problems (office space, storage, supplies, conference rooms, etc.)
  • Work closely with and assist cleaning services team to maintain office cleanliness

YOU HAVE/ARE:

  • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Mac
