REJECTS

Due to popular demand, Art Friend are pleased to announce that ‘Rejects’ is returning to London for summer 2024. The premise is to showcase and celebrate some incredible artworks that have been overlooked by the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and to give the artists their chance to shine!

We are looking for artists who have previously submitted work to the RA Summer Exhibition and didn't get selected but who still have their work available.

Overstory - Open call for digital artists

We are thrilled to announce our latest open call "Overstory" inspired by the profound exploration of trees and nature in Richard Powers' acclaimed novel "The Overstory".

Dates: 16-18 May 2024 PV on 16 May from 6PM to 8PM

Opening days: 17 May from 4PM to 8PM - 18 May from 4PM to 8PM

Why "Overstory": the exhibition theme serves as a celebration of nature's beauty and resilience, inviting artists to delve into the intricate world of trees and their profound impact on human life. Richard Powers' masterful storytelling in "The Overstory" inspires us to reflect on the interconnectedness of all living beings and the vital role trees play in sustaining our planet.

boundaries

Boundaries Exhibition

Curatorial theme:

What are the boundaries between public and private space?
Boundaries could be physical, such as borders between countries;  Boundaries also could be invisible, the world can appear so different from one to another. We all have different boundaries based on our various living experiences and cultural backgrounds.

A boundary could be your skin or the clothes you wear, where keeping others out or hides your inner self.

Boundaries could be the disconnect between your thoughts and voice, the never ending sentence devoid of punctuation.
Rather than hold the boundaries of this space, we would like to hear the boundaries in your life.
What is your boundary?
