THE ARTISTS FORUM FESTIVAL OF THE MOVING IMAGE: 2019 (#affestnyc) is now accepting submissions. This international short film festival is a juried competition, open to innovative filmmakers with unique perspectives seeking to gain exposure in New York's formidable arts and media market.  Each year, the festival highlights a category depicting a prominent social, political, or economic issue. This year’s themed category is 'Social Justice.'

Open Call for Time-Based Art & Films

Based in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the NOFLASH Video Show is dedicated to showcasing rigorous new work by emerging time-based artists and filmmakers, local and international. The third annual NOFLASH is now open for submissions in the following categories: hybrid/experimental short films, narrative/documentary short films, feature film, moving-image installation/video art, live performance art and sound art. Last year, 25 works were selected from around 750 submissions, ranging from undergraduate students to working artists in nine different countries. Submit by February 1  (free for students, $5 standard).

We are an invite only platform featuring a curated roster of NYC based artists.  Read below and apply

Give your art exposure to new vetted collectors. Art in Res is a network of art enthusiasts.

2. Arrange a rental.

Collectors will send a rental request, and you get to choose the details, accept or reject.

3. Hand off / Studio visit.

Artist Residency in New York City - Register Today

Residency Dates: April 1 - 6, 2019

Dacia Gallery is pleased to announce its Artist Residency Program in New York City. The painting intensive program will comprise of drawing and painting the figure from life, guest lecturers, a business of art course and gallery visits. Additionally, Dacia Gallery will host a group exhibition of the artwork you created during the workshop. The residency is open to all visual artists and will accommodate all levels of experience. Artists living in New York, national and international artists are invited to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to study and paint in NYC, if you are interested in participating register today, spots are limited. 

 

TEMPERA PAINTING & GOLD GILDING WORKSHOP in NYC

Workshop Description: Dacia Gallery is pleased to announce Byzantium to the Renaissance: Egg Tempera and Gold Gilding Workshop in New York City. This workshop is intended as an introduction and revival of the centuries old tempera painting and gold gilding techniques for modern painters. To inspire and create stunning modern paintings with the knowledge, materials and techniques of the Byzantine and Renaissance masters. Students will learn to paint in egg tempera and water gild 24K gold leaf with centuries old Byzantine techniques and secrets of the renaissance master painters, from Duccio and Giotto to Simone Martini and Fra Angelico. Specific images have been selected to paint for this project that each student will be able to learn the most techniques from.
