In the In-Between seeks contemporary B&W photography in all its forms for its next online exhibition. Primal Sight will be juried by NYC-based curator and writer, Efrem Zelony-Mindell.

Apply for Free Performing Arts Residencies at The Iron Factory, Philadelphia (2020)

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Announcing The Iron Factory's upcoming free residencies for 2020! Apply by December 1, 2019 for one of the following residency dates:

March 27-29, 2020 (weekend)
February 21-28, 2020 (weeklong)
April 24 - May 1, 2020 (weeklong)

This opportunity is for performing artists who would like to apply for a free residency at The Iron Factory in Philadelphia. Our residencies can also be booked (see website for more information). For those who do not receive a residency, the application fee can be used toward a future rental! We encourage applications from artists at various stages of their career, and welcome individual artists, companies, and collaboratives both local and visiting to apply.

Create! Magazine is pleased to announce an open call for the Art Miami International Print Issue. We are passionate about highlighting work by emerging artists and are excited to feature the next round of artists in this edition.

JUROR: Rebecca Hossack Gallery, London and New York 

The Director of three galleries in central London and New York, Rebecca Hossack was born in Melbourne in 1955. 

Following degrees in Law and in History of Art, Hossack studied at Christie's and at The Guggenheim in Venice. She set up her own gallery in Windmill Street, Fitzrovia, in March 1988. (She signed the lease only three days before the great stock-market crash on 'Black Monday').

Weeklong Residency in Philadelphia

The Iron Factory is offering free weeklong residencies for individual artists or companies – local or visiting – for up to four people. Both residency options include accommodations in our 2nd floor loft and access to our 3rd floor studio from 8am-5pm.

PLEASE NOTE: 

These applications are for artists applying for a free "Visiting Artist Residency." Artists can also book a residency or nightly stays. See our residency rates for more information. 

For those who do not receive a residency, the application fee can be used toward a future rental at The Iron Factory.

​Who should apply?

16th Annual Betsy Meyer Memorial Exhibition & Meyer Family Award for Contemporary Art

The Meyer Family Award for Contemporary Art, presented by Main Line Art Center in conjunction with the Betsy Meyer Memorial Exhibition, honors approximately three artists annually with an exhibition in the Center's gallery and an award of $1000. This award and associated exhibition program is an effort to support talented contemporary artists, to honor deserving artists in the field, and to encourage excellence and experimentation in artistic practice, presentation, and community involvement. Winners are selected by Main Line Art Center's Board of Artistic Advisors. All adult fine artists are eligible to apply. All mediums are welcome. Artists must attend the opening reception and be present for installation. The application deadline is June 25, 2019.
