SMCK On Reel video festival in Bucharest: Open call for submissions

SMCK On Reel reshapes aesthetics and promotional strategies at Romanian Jewelry Week. Three minutes of moving images can impregnate the mind of the viewer with the significance and uniqueness of the artist’s work more than thousand jewelry photos. The secret lies in the plot, and the visualization of the artist’s intimate world of phantasy.

Stories are remembered and retold, while unconnected images fade away. A reel, film or video is a row of moving images that build up a fascinating narrative worth watching. It is an eye-catcher.

SMCK On Reel attracts jewelry VIPs and customers, and creates a new space for promotional strategies. Videos are easy to produce, to present, to screen, to understand, and to love.

Bucharest International Dance Film Festival

The Nano Artist - how artists use social media for personal branding?

Artists often had to subject themselves to an exacerbated pace of posting on social networks. Existing art literature relies too heavily on influencer marketing, which is a toxic way for an artist to manage their creation. I've taken this approach and written a theoretical article on Personal Branding for Artists, and want to take it a step further and discuss artists using social media for personal branding.

FILM+ launches the call for young filmmakers’s projects - Edition no. 7

Early career filmmakers from Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Moldova and Ukraine are invited to submit their projects to the 7th edition of FILM+, the support program for independent low budget film productions.

FILM + facilitates the development of selected projects, regardless of the genre of films (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental) and the stage they are at the time of application (script development, production, post-production).

Filmmakers, dance artists, animators, visual artists and digital art makers are invited to submit their works for the International and Romanian Short Film Competitions of BIDFF – Bucharest International Dance Film Festival.

Through the (un)safe zones theme, the eighth edition of BIDFF (September 8 - 11, 2022) invites artists and audiences alike to witness art redefining its shapes in a world in crisis. The artistic formats undergo mandatory mutations: the film leaves the cinema, the dance leaves the stage, the stage becomes a space open to debates, and the reality is radically transformed by imaginative artistic manifestations.

Deadline for application: 31st August, 2021
