Due to the inability to implement the Artist Against Abuse exhibition in June 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the open call is extended to September 10, 2020. The new date of exhibition has not yet been confirmed. We aim in November 2020.

ABOUT PROJECT AND FOUNDATION

Jestem Tu presents an opportunity for artists of all types to share their work with the Nortwich community. Jestem Tu is a non-profit organization based in Poland. The goal of the foundation is to create art project conect with education which will be against abuse project. 

Against Abuse Project is a new project of the Jestem Tu foundation. Our intention is to create a multi-year project in which artists and people who deal with violence in order to educate society will unite their forces. We want artists to share their works and the point of view of the problem with us. We intend to expand the project so that the exhibition can travel from city to city, from country to another country. What we show is our priority.

Submissions may include original art in any media, art collections, curiosities, and more.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all artists, 18 years and older, world-wide, both amateur and professional, including alternative and traditional artwork. Questions about eligibility can be sent to mg@artistagainstabuse.org

 

THE DATAILS

Exhibition take place in The Shoe Factory Social Club in Norwich between 12th and 18th June 2020. Private view will be at 12th June, date is The World Day Against Child Labour. Title of project is Against Abuse. We are looking for artist who presents faces of abuse at artworks. Choosen artworks will be show at exhibition Against Abuse and online on Against Abuse Project website. We are going to promote artist who will sent their works at project's Istagram profil.We love to develop Against Abuse Project and show the exhibition in othres cities and counties in the future. 

All exhibitors must agree to the terms of the our Contract (available upon request).

We are looking for: Fine Arts, Illustration / Comiks, Video / Animation, Other

 

ENTRY SPECIFICATIONS

A maximum of 3 entries per artists may be submitted for consideration; all media in 2D & 3D forms will be considered. 2D work must be suitably framed with all hardware necessary attached to hang gallery ready. Any artist with installation or digital works must speak with the Exhibitions Curator to coordinate presentation.

Artists may submit entries through the website using the online form (link), or if there are complications, the artist can email (information soon). 

If you send your proposal via email, application should include:

1. No more then three samples of work:

- List title, year, medium, size, and price (as applicable).

- Format images as JPEG with your name, the work in the titleand the year (i.e. marysia.gasecka.abuse.2019.jpeg)

2. Brief artist statement

3. Contact info (phone/email)

PUBLICITY

Jestem Tu reserves the right to photograph and reproduce, in color or black and white, all artwork accepted for this exhibition (regardless of copyright) for educational and publicity purposes. 

 

DELIVERY & PICK-UP

Accepted works are to be hand-delivered or shipped in reusable crate(s) or carton(s). Included with each work, card listing Name, Address, Phone, Title, Media, Dimensions, and Price. Attach card to the back of the 2D work or base of 3D work. Work is shipped at the artist’s expense to the mg@artistagainstabuse.org. Accepted artists shipping their work must include a prepaid return label for return shipping. If submitted artwork comes without prepaid label it becomes the property of the Jestem Tu at the close of the exhibition. All hand-delivered work must be picked up at the close of the exhibition or work becomes the property of the Jestem Tu to dispose of as it sees fit. Accepted works must remain for the duration of the exhibition.

Prizes Details: 

In connection with the resignation of a separate organization of a charity auction - the sale of works will take place in accordance with the rules of the charity auction. Check the rules on our site, please.

Open call for artists for online exhibition: Digital U

For this year’s Digital U micro-commission, Art Gene welcomes applications from artists and creatives to exhibit projects that explore the collision of art and the environment in the digital age, selected by Digital U returning Guest Curator Alejandro Ball. 

Six artists will be given the opportunity to exhibit on Art Gene’s online exhibition space Digital U-Hang. The exhibitions will be posted online between October 2019 – March 2020 and will remain online as part of Art Gene’s archive of projects.

Digital Uis Art Gene’s online exhibition series. Guest Curator Alejandro Ball returns to curate Digital U: Extreme Views for the second year, to select artists and creatives whose thought-provoking work explores new or subversive ways through which to respond to environmental challenges, whether digital or natural. Work should be in a digital format, or use digital medium such as film, animation, video and sound to explore the collision of art and nature.

The Draw to Perform residency programme for Drawing Performance practice.

 

What does the program offer?

The D2P Residency program is a unique opportunity for new and developing professional artists and art students to engage in the dynamic artistic discipline of drawing performance art. The program provides the foundation to develop drawing and performance skills and to translate creative practice into live action. This rigorous 15 days structured program of mentored residency includes one-on-one tutorials, workshops, intensive studio time, studio visits and artist talks by UKdrawing performance artists. The program is headed by artist and curator Ram Samocha, who is internationally acclaimed and the founder of Draw to Perform.

The residency will be located in the heart of Brighton, one of the most vibrant and colourful cities in Europe and a centre of creativity, vibrancy and progressive art. The program will also include guided tours to key exhibitions and art events in Brighton and London and will end with an evening of live drawing performances to celebrate and showcase the output of this creative time.

PHOTOGRAPHY - MOTION - INNOVATION

There are a great many photography competitions out there for professionals and non-professionals alike, but the AOP Awards continues to be regarded as the original and the best - a celebration of exceptional work by the Industry's elite.  Being selected for entry into the AOP Awards Book and accompanying exhibition is one of the highest accolades available to photographers around the world.

This year's Photography Awards, open to AOP Photographer and Assisting members, bring new categories, and commissioned and personal work will be judged together for each category for the first time. In the Open Awards, open to everyone, there's a new category, Innovation, celebrating the creative use of technologies and innovations for both still and moving imagery. And, of course, there's the Discovery Award for Assisting Photographer members.

Entries to the Photography Awards close on 21 January, and for the Open Awards it's 25 February 2019. Enter before 30 September to benefit from an early bird discount. Entry fees remain at last year's prices. You can find full details of entry prices and categories on the Awards website.
