Cheshire East Council, SHIFT and QuaysCulture are delighted to announce this exciting opportunity for residents of Greater Manchester and Cheshire East.

Wave-Field is an internationally renowned artwork produced by Lateral Office and CS Design with soundscape by Mitchell Akiyama. As part of a UK tour, L4 will present their interactive seesaw installation Wave-Field in Crewe and Salford Quays. Created by an award-winning team, Wave-Field is a publicly-activated light and sound experience which has been exhibited worldwide. Wave-Field intends to make art accessible to all through the playful nature of the work.

Wales Contemporary / Cymru Gyfoes

Wales Contemporary / Cymru Gyfoes is an international open competition for 2D artwork in any medium excluding photography. Developed by the Waterfront Gallery in association with the Welsh Government, Wales Contemporary seeks to celebrate all aspects of the country by inviting artists to submit work that is inspired by its ancient history, its art history, its heritage, its landscape (rural, urban or political) and its contemporary culture.

New Studio Building: V22 Stoke Newington, London

V22 are pleased to announce that we have a new studio building available to rent in Stoke Newington, London. 

Located a 2 minute walk from Stoke Newington overground station, the spaces benefit from natural light and range from around 85 to 2000 sq ft.

The building is comprised of 19 ground floor studios and a mezzanine floor. There are self-contained units to let immediately as well as partitioned units available to let in the near future. 

Studios and workspaces at V22 are available to rent by artists as well as selected creative businesses and social enterprises.

Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award, Artist Commission 2020 to be hosted by The Tetley, Leeds

Engage and the Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award are delighted to announce that the 2020 Artist Commission will be hosted by The Tetley, Leeds.

The Alexandra Reinhardt Memorial Award (ARMA) was established in memory of the artist Alexandra Reinhardt and is supported by the Max Reinhardt Charitable Trust. The annual award, worth £15,000, funds an artist or artists to conceive and deliver a project which engages children and young people. The Award in 2020 focuses on the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. Engage, the National Association for Gallery Education, has been working with ARMA on the programme since 2012.

The Westmorland Landscape Prize

Conceived and developed by Westmorland, the Westmorland Landscape Prize aims to document, celebrate and interrogate our relationship with the landscape. It offers a First Prize of £10,000: Westmorland, along with Selectors Cherie Federico, Anne Desmet RA and Hazel Stone are delighted to announce Sharon Baker as the winner.
