Behind The Art Series: Open Call

We are now accepting rolling submissions for our Behind The Art Series, a weekly artist feature hosted on our Instagram.

We find joy in explaining the creative process behind our art exhibitions, and love to read about the story behind other artists’ work. In this Behind The Art Series, we will be showcasing the story behind an individual work, highlighting the artist and the featured piece. Did you come up with the idea in the shower on a whim, or was it a meticulously planned piece? We want to hear and share your story. The story behind a piece is just as important as the work itself. We look forward to reviewing your submissions. Please adhere to the submission criteria below for consideration:

Eco Echo – online art exhibition

Applications are now open for our online exhibition “Eco Echo”. We are looking for artworks centered on the theme of the environment and the natural world, nature’s interconnected web and delicate balance. Artworks that raise awareness about environmental issues. Artworks that open our minds to philosophical ideas about our own connection to nature. Realistic landscapes or abstracts of natural phenomenon; spirituality or scientific observations; memories of a walk through tall trees, or patterns observed in desert; splashing rivers, or plastics found in the ocean. We want to discover the voice of nature through your artworks.

Call for Art-TRUE BLUE

THEME
TRUE BLUE- The color blue is the most universally appealing color on the spectrum. It can represent trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, and sensitivity. But it can also convey fragility, depression, impersonality, and even coldness. There was a time when the pigment blue was the rarest and most precious shade of all. Some artists even went into debt just to use the color! With so many intriguing shades of blue to work and so many meanings and representations, show us TRUE BLUE through your perspective.
