Love Shack!

All you need is love!

Eclectica! Art Gallery is celebrating everything peace, love and rock and roll! This show salutes "hearts in art."

Love Shack! offers an opportunity to display your work during this promotion, running February 7 - 15th.

Work will be on consignment only. Artists receive 60% of purchase price [set by the artist].

1. You may submit only one of a kind, hand made work in the following categories: paintings, collage, ceramics, sculpture, glass, metal, jewelry, wood, functional & decorative objects and accessories. All wall art works must be finished, wired and ready to hang. Other work must be able to be hung from the ceiling, displayed on a pedestal, table or shelf. Jewelry will be placed in a locked vitrine or case.

Chili Bowl Workspace Residency

The Chili Bowl Workspace Residency is an opportunity for potters who want to create their own work and participate in WSW’s Chili Bowl Fiesta, an annual fundraiser and our biggest community event of the year.

Each February, WSW sells over 1,000 bowls, mugs, and tumblers at the Chili Bowl Fiesta to support the operations of our ceramics studio. Pots are made throughout the year by resident artists, staff, interns, local artists, and our weekly clay study group. Every purchase of a pot comes with a helping of chili and cornbread donated by regional restaurants, plus we have raffles, music, and dancing! It’s a great event that allows our community to come together over handmade pottery and local food.

The Parade of Friendly Monsters

Calling all community groups, schools, youth clubs, and more.

Deptford X are organising a monstrous procession to close this year’s Deptford X festival on Sunday 3 November.

We are looking for groups and individuals to sign up to participate in the parade on Sunday 3 November. We want anybody and everybody to get involved. Bring your own carnival traditions or invent new ones! Join in free costume making workshops at the Deptford X project space and visit the Horniman Museum’s amazing collection of masks and costumes from around the world. All are welcome and participation is free.

In times like this, the monsters come to guide us through the change.
They come from all around the world whenever things get strange.
