CURRENTS New Media is now accepting submissions for our 2022 art and technology festival in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.

Every summer since 2010, CURRENTS New Media presents one of the leading art and technology festivals in the United States. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, CURRENTS brings together the work of established and emerging new media artists from the USA and around the world.

UA/UK Art Business School 2021

Within the Art Business School, experts and practitioners will conduct a joint educational school, international panel discussions, create a Guide for the art industry and formulate proposals to improve the regulatory field and rules of the Ukrainian art market and publish a collection of analytical articles in Ukrainian and English. The project will provide art entrepreneurs, artists, cultural workers and cultural operators with up-to-date knowledge, practical cases from the British art market and advice from leading industry experts.

This Show is Curated by a Machine

The Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art invites all artists worldwide to submit work for our final show of the year, This Show is Curated by a Machine" to directly answer the Whitney Museum of American Art's curatorial question "The Next Biennial Should Be Curated by a Machine." https://whitney.org/exhibitions/the-next-biennial

The curator, an AI bot machine, will learn to curate by looking at the art of the 2021 mowna Biennial.

Artists may submit up to 10 works of art per submission. Selected artists will be paid 70% of ticket and membership sales from the show, with the other 30% paying for the creation of the platform. There is no submission fee to apply.

OPEN CALL FOR CREATIVES – DIGITAL SUPERPOWER! LAB

We are looking for 5 young womxn/LGBTQ creatives/artists based in London to join other participants in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Bulawayo, Zimbabwe to collectively explore gender safety issues in their cities.

Participants will join a series of remote workshops and use a custom gesture-based data collection web platform developed by UK-based artist, Ling Tan to explore and collect data surrounding their own and their communities' experiences of gender safety in their own city.

Participants will be guided in ways to map, visualise and narrativise their individual and collective data and findings in their own artistic medium (e.g graphic design, data visualisation, performance, photography, storytelling, poetry, etc).
