Open Call: Take Back Control

Calling REMAIN and LEAVE Artists of all mediums across the UK, interested in responding to the role of ‘news’ during Brexit. "Take Back Control” will offer audiences a chance to relive the gut wrenching EU referendum through a display of national newspapers and share insights into UK press agendas. Successful artists will display their work alongside a large collection of newspapers from the week leading to the Brexit vote. You can apply with existing work as long as it’s on theme, we encourage both remain and leave artists to please apply!

Tagsmart Open Call

Tagsmart is thrilled to announce its first open call open for all practising artists! No application fee.

We are Tagsmart, a company dedicated to building trust in the art market. We do this by securing works with DNA Tags, issuing Certificates of Authenticity and recording provenance history on our platform.

We have recently launched Tagsmart Connect, the first service that enables artists to submit artworks directly to different channels (these can be online retailers, galleries, open calls…) from one single platform.

As part of our Re-Imagine Europe programme, we would like to welcome a duo comprising a visual artist and music or sound artist/practitioner (e.g. a DJ, music producer, sound artist, composer, performer, sound practitioner, or musician) to take part in a two week residency at Lighthouse in Brighton. The residencies are an opportunity for artists, practitioners, producers and technologists to expand their practice and research and develop new ideas and methodologies.

Artist call: NUMBERS - Wake up screaming #16

We all work with numbers, it cannot be helped, we are numerous beings! But what happens when artists consciously dive into the world of digits? What happens to the psyche and reality when numbers become a prominent point of focus? What do we have to learn from numbers appearing in nature, the golden ratio and Fibonacci.

What do numbers have to tell us on the psychological, mythical and theological planes? How can working with numbers help us to be more creative? What can numbers help us to uncover? What happens when art becomes tied up in numbers? Is there a pattern in the universe? What relevance do numbers play in your life? Are you guided by numbers?
