When talking about competitions and exhibitions dedicated to 21st Century Realism, The International ARC Salon is the largest in the world in terms of entries, and the most diverse in terms of categories and international participation. This makes the International ARC Salon Competition the most influential and far-reaching competition for Contemporary Realism in the world, with over $130,000 in cash awards and international recognition through partnerships with prestigious magazines, galleries, and museums, with live exhibitions and a strong online presence. Categories include: Figurative, Portraiture, Imaginative Realism, Drawing, Landscape, Still Life, Plein Air Painting, Fully From Life, Sculpture, Animals, and a special category for teens.

#SophiesPostcard is a secret auction consisting of original postcard-sized artworks, made and donated by professional artists, designers and illustrators, plus up-and-coming artists from St Richard’s Catholic College and the general public.

The fundraiser was set up in memory of Sophie Maria Taylor, a former pupil of St Richard’s Catholic College, and has raised over £46,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity since 2018.

The call for artists opens on 1 Mar 2022, with the deadline for artwork to arrive by 10 June 2022. The auction goes live on eBay on 30 June and ends on 9 Jul 2022.

The Thought Collective - Open Call

The Thought Collective is a collective diary asking: what does it feel like to be you?

We want your responses to the everyday, your daydreams, streams of consciousness, and weird thoughts.

•Think journal entries, poetry, artwork, and sketches in the corner of your notebook. Give us a snapshot of your mind. Let your thoughts wander on the page. Be as literal, creative, or abstract as you like!

“Blossom” Digital Art Contest

Pixarra is announcing a call for artists for a new digital art contest under the theme of “Blossom”. Submission is free of charge and is not limited in the number of entries. 2D and 3D artists from around the world are invited to show their art.

All submissions must be digital paintings created with illustration software and the participants must have the full copyrights on them. Traditional art, photographies, photo manipulations, collages and animation are not accepted.

Participants can submit their entries at http://www.pixarra.com/competition between February 25, and March 21, 2022.

The winners will be selected by a jury and will be announced on March 24, 2022. The evaluation criteria will be: quality, technique and thematic relevance.
