Pier-2 Art Center Artist-in-Residence Program (PAIR) 2025 OPEN CALL

Pier-2 Art Center is a cross-domain art center where is the most iconic modern art stage in Southern Taiwan and is devoted to the cultivation of potential artists and designers. Following the tradition of the past industries such as commercial harbor, iron, and steel, shipbuilding, Pier-2 Art Center holds activities related to these industries' characteristics. 

By receiving artists from all over the world and from the different domain, Pier-2 Artists in Residence program was established in 2015, which aims to bring in more infinitely creative and experimental works and strengthen the artistic spirits in the extreme.

FLAMIN Animations: £3,000 commission

FLAMIN Animations is a commissioning programme for early-career Black-identifying* artist animators living in the UK. Part of Film London Artists' Moving Image Network (FLAMIN), the programme aims to support artist animators as they take their first steps into a career working with the moving image, with development support and funding for a new work.

What does the programme offer each artist animator?

- £3,000 to create a new animation

- Development support and advice from the FLAMIN Team

- Bespoke workshop programme with animation professionals in the art and film industries

"Expressions of Humanity" - Free Entry, $1,000 Award Competition

Blue Space Gallery - " Expressions of Humanity ", an international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their medium and style. Submissions should revolve around the central theme of " Expressions of Humanity”. Entry is free; only those artists whose submissions are chosen as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their artwork showcased in the online exhibition and will advance to the final jurying round in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000. Awards will be granted to those whose work demonstrates the greatest level of creativity and artistry.

Fiber Arts: The Renaissance May Call to Art

Florida Emerging Art’s May Call theme is “Fiber Arts: The Renaissance”.

The gallery provides a virtual space for emerging artists and this month is curated by Anna Agee @annacatherineagee.

Fiber arts has recently reemerged in the public consciousness, taking on a new life with artists young and old across the nation. This call to art encourages submissions of many textile arts, from crocheting to machine sewing, garments to soft sculpture— whatever form the inquisitive artist uses as their threaded medium.

Call Summary: All Fiber Arts. We encourage artists without a record in established institutions to contribute.

New Visionary Magazine is a print & digital publication featuring contemporary artists, exclusive interviews with leading art world professionals, art career resources, and more. We are seeking artists from around the world to feature in this issue. Selected artists will each receive a 2-page spread, including a custom article written about their work by our head writer.

New Visionary Magazine is brought to you by Visionary Art Collective, a New York City-based Contemporary Art & Artist Development company. Our mission is to uplift artists through magazine features, virtual exhibitions, podcast interviews, and our mentorship programs.

Open call to artists worldwide, 18 years and older, to create one art piece for The Greater Sum Foundation. It should incorporate the theme “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts” for our end-of-year giving, social media, printed materials, and general use. If selected, the artist will have up to two months to complete the artwork.
