10th Annual "Abstracts" Online Art Competition

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces an art call for the gallery’s 10th  Annual “Abstracts” Juried Online Art Competition for the month of February 2019.  The gallery invites all 2D and 3D artists (including photographers) from around the world to make online submissions for possible inclusion in the Gallery’s March 2019 online group art exhibition.  

Light Space & Time encourages artists regardless of where they reside and regardless of their experience or education in the art field to send the gallery their best interpretation of the theme “Abstracts” by entering their best non-objective and non-representational art. 

College Artists: Art of Painting in the 21st Century

 

The Art of Painting Conference and Exhibition is near, on March 8 – 9, 2019! This two-day conference was conceived to give a vast expanse of artists an opportunity to foster conversation about contemporary painting. This stands as the unifying principle of our conference and exhibition. Furthermore, the diverse wealth of artwork will provide fresh insights into a classic, yet ever-evolving medium.

Many prestigious artists and critics have participated in past conferences, including Philip Pearlstein, Enrique Chagoya, Deborah Oropollo, Guy Diehl and Peter Selz have participated in past conferences. This year’s renowned presenters include Amer Kobaslija, Dean Fisher, Dorian Allworthy, Glenn Brill & Tom Colcord.

The festival is inviting artists to apply to create a commission for the festival. Successful artist applicants will receive funding, publicity around their commission and support from the festival's production team and Creative Producer to realise their idea. This opportunity may be more suited to early career artists, though anybody residing in the UK is eligible to apply. We welcome proposals from artists who wish to develop an existing work.

Building on the success of a co-commission in 2018, bluedot, Kendal Calling, Shambala, Lakes Alive and Arts by the Sea are providing a new opportunity for artists to create and tour a new artwork to each of their festivals in 2019.

Bluedot Festival Open Call for Commissions, with Light Night Leeds

Bluedot is inviting artists to apply to create one of two new commissions for the festival in 2019. The first commission will be awarded in partnership with Light Night Leeds with artists being expected to create a commission that explores light art and interactivity. Successful artist applicants of both commissioning levels will receive funding, publicity around their commission and support from the festival's production team and Creative Director to realise their idea. This opportunity is open to artists at any level of their career, and anybody residing in the UK is eligible to apply. We welcome proposals from artists who wish to develop an existing work, as well as proposals for new pieces of artwork.

Call for Artists - Average Art 33 (April 2019)

Average Art is an industry focused art magazine. Our goal is to draw attention to self representing artists. We are now taking entries for the April edition of Average Art Magazine.

Brief: send us a large digital image of your work. Also send us any information you think is relevant. Any text needs to be kept brief as we get hundreds of submissions.
