Strata Gallery's Third Annual Group Exhibition Unveiled!

Strata Gallery presents Third Annual Group Exhibition, an exhibition of all current Established Members. The exhibition opens July 11th with a special reception on July 14th from 5-8pm. 

The Third Annual Group Exhibition is the last exhibition in Strata’s current location in the Design Center before its relocation to 125 Lincoln Avenue - the same building as Allen Hauser Gallery and Niman Fine Art. 

Liminal Forms

School of Visual Arts (SVA) presents Liminal Forms, an exhibition of work by seven MFA Art Practice thesis candidates: Alison Pasquini, C Fodoreanu, Heather Link-Bergman, Janine Brown, Laura Valentina Cifuentes Almanza, Maria Dolores Gregori, and Maya Ballen. The exhibition will be held at the Invisible Dog Art Center, 51 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, NY. An opening reception with artists in attendance will be held on Wednesday, July 12 from 7- 9 pm. Light refreshments will be served.

 

Port Chester Arts Festival

Join us in Port Chester, New York for a day of creativity and inspiration for all ages at the 1st Annual Port Chester Arts Festival. The festival will be a celebration of the arts groups and artists that make our town a creative hub. All events will be free and open to the public. From longstanding spaces like The Capitol Theatre and Clay Art Center, to new additions like Ice Cream Social Art Space, Port Chester offers an exciting array of access to the arts as part of our culture. Enjoy some of the best Westchester arts events and organizations!

CURRENTS 2023 Art & Technology Festival

CURRENTS New Media is delighted to present the 14th year of its annual art & technology festival, CURRENTS 2023. The 10 day festival will be held at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds from June 16- June 25, 2023. The festival will present 85 works of 70 artists working across the vast field of new media art.

Artists in the Archives: A conversation with Alexander D’Agostino and Mindy Stricke

What is artistic research? What is it like to step into the Folger as a contemporary artist? Join us for a virtual conversation with Folger Institute fellows Alexander D’Agostino (‘22-23) and Mindy Stricke (‘18-19) on how they integrate collections research and creative process. Learn about their strategies, surprising discoveries, and how you too can become a Folger researcher. 

This conversation will be moderated by Abbie Weinberg, Research and Reference Librarian, with welcoming remarks from Patricia Akhimie, incoming Director of the Folger Institute.
