Freya Wynn-Jones is a director and singer working across a wide range of professional and community settings. Freya works on numerous collaborations to write, compose and devise new work and find contemporary resonance in long-standing repertoire. Recent projects include directing the world premier of hunger (Lilian Baylis House, 2017), alongside Helios Collective and English National Opera; working with ENO’s Youth Company in Towards Another World (Victoria & Albert Museum, 2017) and Youth Company performances culminating at Lilian Baylis House including Threads of The Past (2017) The Marigold That Goes To Bed With The Sun (2017) and Speak Some Truth (2016). She also works with The Royal Opera House’s Participation team and recently directed an abridged Boheme performed at The Curve in Leicester as part of the Opera Exposed program. Freya was also involved in bringing Hospital Passion Play to the V&A with Garsington Opera as well as directing Tchaikovsky And The Marvellous Kingdom with Aurora Orchestra as part of their Far Far Away series (Kings Place, 2017). In 2018 she will be creating new work for Spitalfields as part of their Open Call Program. She also explores making new work alongside her company the Voicings Collective.
