Minnesota Street Project Art Services provides a comprehensive, concierge-based art collection management service to private collectors, galleries, and institutions. Adhering to the best art handling practices, we package, install, transport, inventory, and store artwork in conformance with museum standards, with 100% of our profits going to supporting and sustaining Bay Area arts and culture. Our 50,000 ft2 storage facility located in San Francisco, CA, features state-of the art environmental-control and security systems, as well as an attractive viewing room and photography facility.

Minnesota Street Project is currently seeking a full-time Art Handler, with expert art handling skills, to join our team of arts professionals.


  • Exhibits a friendly and approachable demeanor with MSP staff, clients, and vendors, acting as a positive ambassador for the overall Project; ensures strong communication is facilitated and deadlines are continually met.
  • In the field, works under the supervision of the Lead Art Handler to expertly handle, package, install and transport high-value artworks for blue chip clients, all in accordance with museum standards.
  • When in-house, assists in daily work orders (packaging and handling artwork) and installs for client viewing room appointments, stages outgoing artworks, anticipates incoming shipments by designating spaces in advance of deliveries, and assists with loading and unloading of trucks for shipments and field jobs.
  • Assists the registration department with measuring and barcoding incoming artworks; condition reports artworks on an as-needed basis; transfers registered works from temporary to permanent storage.
  • Keeps warehouse consistently clean, useable, and client-ready, bringing a proactive approach; inventories and readies supplies for field teams; administers reuse/recycling policies.
  • Attends weekly department meetings and performs other related duties as required.

Reports to Operations Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                               

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a museum, gallery or art shipping organization; demonstrated expertise in art handling techniques and storing practices.
  • Demonstrated concern for detail, accuracy and precise execution of work; ability to quickly identify and resolve problems, ensuring projects stay on schedule.
  • Works well independently and in a team; excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Experienced operating warehouse equipment (VRCs, forklifts, walkie stackers, and pallet jacks) a plus.
  • Valid CA license and willingness to deliver and install artwork on a moment’s notice.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and safely cart artwork within a ½ block.
  • Proficient with PC and Mac operating systems and software, including Adobe and Microsoft Suites and Filemaker Pro; familiarity with G Suite and CRMs.

This Project Manager role is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a London Social Creative Agency who specialise in the youth culture space.  They have a very creative vibe and are working with a range of fashion and beauty clients, someone with a bit of background working in this sector would be ideal.

The Project Manager will manage and oversee key clients and projects across design, digital marketing and production.  Must excel at completing projects within their budget, managing the timeline, contracts and final delivery.

To establish project timelines you will work closely with team leaders, providing a weekly summary of project progress for external and internal parties, where necessary. You will create status reports for kicking off projects to be updated throughout, to be reviewed by management and clients; the PM will report directly into the Business Manager.

You will be managing exciting digital campaigns that will require attention to detail and excellent organization, from kick-off to delivery, while also helping to improve overall organisation and seamless processes for project delivery.


Essential Requirements:

  • Ideally will have at least 5+ years previous agency or in-house experience (digital focus)
  • Can easily lead various projects and teams in parallel
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager that includes timelines, statement of work, contracts, production schedules, and resource allocation
  • Experience within projects on website, digital, social, content and strategy
  • Excellent experience with budgets and finance management; need to be able to manage quotes, budget projects, and negotiate with third parties and vendors
  • Ideally you will have experience overseeing budgets over £100k
  • Proactive, excellent attention to detail, excellent at problem-solving and quick thinking
  • Must have clear communications skills, good at building internal and external relationships
  • Upbeat and high energy, with a focused, “get it done” attitude, good at motivating

Make your own 'Dalston Doll' from natural materials



Join Mopsa Wolff from, a local maker who makes carefully crafted dolls, handmade in Hackney. She has also been running popular workshops teaching others how to create your own personalised doll using natural materials, hand & some machine sewing techniques.

You can create a beautiful doll to take away and have the skills to make more on your own. All levels of makers are welcome, from beginner to expert. All materials will be provided, we will use good quality materials including organic stuffing wool. You will be able to choose from different skin tones and eye colours.of Dalston Dolls already existing in the world!

Plan for the Day:

In the morning you will stuff and attach the limbs and start on the head, after lunch sew on the features and the head to the body and start on the hair. You will be given guidance on how to make dolls clothes at home or you can book into Fabrications fortnightly Thursday evening Craft Club for additional support. Places on the workshop are limited to 6 participants.

You will be supplied with your own 'Dalston Doll' pack of materials:
- fabric for torso and limbs, sewn up but not sewn together- face fabric- organic stuffing wool- bandage and string for the head- embroidery thread for features- doll needle and darning needle (for hair)- organic 100% wool brown yarn for hair, 50g ball (you can bring or buy alternatives if you prefer)
