CK Contemporary is an established gallery located in San Francisco's Union Square.  We are seeking an experienced art consultant with exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.  The candidate should have a strong background in contemporary art or experience in other high end sales environments.  Primary responsibilities include working with existing clients as well as generating new client leads, close new sales, and maintain long term client relationships.  There will be opportunities for involvement in marketing strategies and campaigns, development of our online presence and oversight of some day to day functions in the gallery.  We are looking for someone who is polished and professional, enthusiastic, collaborative and approachable.

Booklyn seeks a Temporary Part-time Sales Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have strong organizational skills, and be interested and capable of working as part of a team. This position is a contract position for four months, and has the potential to grow into regular part-time or full-time work, and into other areas of our organization.

Responsibilities:

- Management of Booklyn's webstore sales: draft descriptions, photograph work, and create posts online

- Social media promotion of artworks for webstore sales

- Draft monthly sales e-blast of new artworks, box sets, and other products

- Professional email and phone communication with customers and clients.

- Process orders using WooCommerce, PayPal, Stripe, and Square

- Pack & ship orders

- Manage consignment contracts, tax forms, client contacts lists

- Inventory management using Collective Access

- Create and edit invoices using Quickbooks

- Work with Managing Director to strategize sales goals

 

Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Demonstrated experience using a range of digital media platforms

- Digital photography and editing

- Commitment to platforming artists’ books by historically marginalized identities and histories, environmental and social justice work

- Bachelors Degree

 

Desired:

- Experience with online sales, packing and shipping procedures

- Book and zine arts sales experience

Phillips is currently seeking an ambitious and motivated individual to fill a full-time Associate Specialist position within our Photographs department.

Based in London, the primary focus of the position will be to lead the cataloguing of property for auctions, valuations and private sales and conduct research to determine authenticity, provenance, bibliography and exhibition history, liaising with outside experts where relevant, while cultivating networks among collectors, dealers, curators and others in order to develop and maintain best-in-class knowledge of the Photographs market and to support the department in sourcing and selling property.

In addition to this, the Associate Specialist will be responsible for supporting the department co-heads with business getting efforts by driving and handling the groundwork for department business getting trips, undertaking client research and assisting with client development tasks in collaboration with the global client development team, working with the department administrator to finalise a schedule for client visits and handling estimate requests.

We are looking for person to train up as an Artist Representative/ Art Agent for our Marbella office, joining a team of 35 across the UK, EU, USA and Asia.

Or you could be experienced in this field so we can fast track your training and salary expectations!

Fluency in either GERMAN or FRENCH is a must followed by strong language ability in ENGLISH. The office is based in Marbella so if you have some Spanish it will help however it is a very international city so not essentail

An Art Rep is the middle person between great artists and great clients; so, you make the link, grease the wheels and basically make sure everything works out. There is an existing group of clients that you will eventually look after and there is a degree of new business development.

The Artist Representative starting salary is €28k.

Expect a long and lucrative career at Advocate Art (we have a very high retention rate), the market in kids and decorative publishing is buoyant and above all the people in it are great. We offer full training in a casual work environment, expenses paid travel -World Wide, London, Italy etc. (expect a stint of up to a month in the USA) and a bonus scheme to prove that we reward success and hard work. 

Working hours for this position is Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with an early leave on Friday.
