Artist in Residence – Open Call

HANGAR is an Artistic Research Center located in the Graça neighborhood of Lisbon. HANGAR comprises several action platforms, including an artist residency center, artist studios, an art education center, an exhibition center, and a public program. Starting from the concept of unifying certain geographies, cultures and identities, HANGAR seeks to organize and produce the development of interdisciplinary artistic projects in the visual arts, integrating public presentations and taking Lisbon as the fulcrum of intervention. HANGAR is an independent space run by artists and curators. It is a place for experimentation, research, and reflection on artistic practices. The space is a convergence point for various areas of contemporary artistic processes.

Summer Residency 2025

This summer of 2025, take part in our residency program, which will take place in the large glass roof of our OpenBach Vincennes space!

Would you like to experience a human adventure? Do you like to exchange ideas and interact with others? Do you enjoy living in a community, sharing materials and know-how? Are you an artist who wants to develop your practice, create large-scale works or simply take the time to concentrate on your work? 

The Openbach summer residency is for you! You'll share the space with a selection of artists over a period of time of your choosing.

Conditions of participation: 80 euros per week + annual membership of the association 30 euros

La Becque launched a new call for applications for its Principal Residency Program for 2026 and the first months of 2027 (January–March).

The Principal Residency Program—La Becque’s core program—provides artists with the opportunity to work in a stimulating and immersive research environment. The program places particular emphasis on projects that focus on the intersection between nature, the environment, and technology—three dimensions that are increasingly interconnected and at the heart of today’s artistic and societal concerns.

'ENCLAVE LAND ART ARTISTIC RESIDENCY 2023’

ENCLAVE LAND ART is a project co-produced by Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana through a program of residencies Cultura Resident, with the support of the Quesa council (Valencia, Spain) are glad to announce the open call for the Fifth Edition of the Enclave Land Art Residency. 

Submissions should focus on the dialogue between human beings and nature so as to create an artistic Land Art itinerary in the area.

We will select seven projects from different artistic disciplines that will be developed and produced in the natural environment during the two weeks of the Art Residency, sharing experiences, ideas and a common goal.
