THE CENTER AWARDS - PERSONAL / SOCIAL / ENVIRONMENTAL: The CENTER Awards recognize outstanding images, singular or part of a series, in three categories: Personal, Social, and Environmental. A broad and inclusive interpretation of the themes is highly encouraged.
The Personal Awards recognize work engaging in the exploration, expression, the power of self-representation or underrepresented experiences. Projects related to identity, self-improvement, mental health, individualism, accessibility, disability, or other topics are invited to apply.

The Social Awards recognize work engaged in social issues. All projects exploring social topics or themes are eligible.

The Environmental Awards recognize work focusing on the state of the ecological environment. Topics may include but are not limited to, conservation, biodiversity, ecology, climate change, or other issues concerning the natural world. YICCA 21/22 - International Contest of Contemporary Art

The competition’s aim is to promote the enrolled artists, giving them chance to join the international market of contemporary art.
Internationality and networking make YICCA a huge opportunity for the artists, which can:
• Win a cash prize:
- Euro 3000,00 money prize to the first selected
- Euro 1000,00 money prize to the second selected
• Promote their art through a variety of channels:
- exhibit the selected artworks in an exhibition space, determined by competition.
- improve the relationship between finalists and critics, curators, gallery owners, public and private art institutions that will have access to this important exhibition.

The jury’s final decision will lead to a selection of 18 artists that will participate in the final exhibition.
All kinds of artworks are accepted, including video, installations and performances.
All works will be presented by a picture or a video that must be followed by a description of the work.
All works must be available for the final exhibition and have to be the artist’s property.
The contest is open to all artists or groups of artists and professionals from any country.
There are no special qualifications required for entry.

The Foundation
The Luciana Matalon Foundation was established in the year 2000. Inspired by Luciana Matalon, the foundation was created to provide an international space for innovative ideas and to create an opportunity of artistic visual, emotional and mental enrichment.
In its headquarters, the foundation hosts historical and contemporary exhibitions of paintings, sculpture and photography.
It also organizes meetings, conferences and cultural events such as; book fairs, chamber music concerts and theatrical performances.
In recent years, the Luciana Matalon foundation has built relationships with the East, by welcoming exhibition projects from Japan (Tokyo & Yokohama), Korea and China (Hong Kong) by promoting its exhibitions.
The museum area also guarantees a space-time continuity of the work of Luciana Matalon (a multifaceted artist, painter, sculptor & jewelry maker). A complete documents’ archive which dates more than 50 years of Activity in America, Europe and Japan is also available.
The museum itself is a work of artfully designed by the artist, its main characteristic is the flooring which consists of a pictorial intervention that uses resins and optical fibers that welcome the author’s reflections..

Call to Artists and Art Organizations: 2021 ISC Innovator Award

International Sculpture Center Innovator Award
Submission Deadline: August 12, 2021
The ISC Innovator Award was established to recognize the creative innovation of individuals, organizations, or collectives who develop new ideas and work to improve and/or expand the field of contemporary sculpture. The recipient of this award demonstrates a commitment to their community and effects social change through their work.
Submissions will be reviewed by a jury of professionals in the field, who will select one final recipient. After confirmed by the ISC Awards Committee and Board of Trustees, the recipient will be honored at community awards ceremony (date TBD). Submissions will close August 12, 2021.
Please read the following award criteria carefully.
Eligibility and Award Criteria:
- Applicants may apply as individuals or groups (such as but not limited to artists, cultural organizers, curators, nonprofit, organization, collaborative, etc.)
- Available for both domestic and international entities.
- Applicants may not be a current graduate or undergraduate student (*Student eligibility through the ISC Outstanding Student Achievement in contemporary sculpture awards program)
- Open to sculptors/groups working in any material or medium
Examples of innovation include:
- Develops new thought processes
- Is a unique benefit to the community and/or society
- Encourages social change
- Creative use of sculpture/materials/technique/processes
- Demonstrate the promise of continuing creative and professional growth
