Hey Everyone! We are kick starting the month of March 2021 with our first photography and student focused Open Call.

For our open call, we are looking for current photography students and recent post graduates (2019 - 2021) to submit your photography projects to us.

We are looking for projects of all genres, fashion, documentary, conceptual, editorial, you name it, we want to see it!

As photography makes up most of our background here at Original Magazine it was about time we created this open call. We would love to see the projects you have all been working on whether it was post lockdown or inspired during the pandemic. Whether you have collaborated on a fashion editorial or you have been documenting a certain theme or concept for the past few years; please send it our way!

Our aim as always, is to showcase as many student/post graduates as possible with a keen eye on emerging talent, offering you a chance to share your work with a new creative platform. Your work will be featured on all our social media handles including Instagram along with our newly launched website.

This open call submission will run throughout the month of March and the deadline will finish on the 21st March.

J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its SnapShot online juried art exhibition.  

According to Wikepedia, the definition of Photography is the science, art, application and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.

A photograph captures a moment in time.  Show us your favorite moments.

For this competition we want to see your best photography and digital media.  Artists are encouraged to share their artistic vision and interpretation of the world around them. The artwork can vary from realism to surrealism to abstraction. All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best inspired photography and digital media.

Dates and Deadlines 

Deadline for Entries: March 29, 2021

Opening of Online Exhibition: April 5, 2021

Online Exhibition Closed & Archived: May 5, 2021 (remains on website under "Gallery Archives”)

Entry Fees

An entry fee of $20 for up to 5 images.

No more than a total of 5 images will be accepted in any one submission. An artist may enter more than once.

Payment is required at the time of entry.


IMAGE LABELING: Image should be labeled as LastName_FirstName_Title_Medium_Size.jpeg. Example: Mane_J_Title_Acrylic_20x30.jpg.

Acceptable Mediums & Sizes

Photography and digital art.


Cash awards may be given to the top three (3) winners.

The First Place winner will be the Featured Artists on the website for the duration of the exhibition. Winners will receive extensive online publicity and promotion.

Depending on the number and quality of all submissions received, Honorable Mention awards may also be given.

Winning artists will receive a digital award certificate.

The artists will be promoted on the website, in online press releases to hundreds of outlets, in online event calendars, art news websites, and through the gallery’s extensive social media outlets.

Links to the artist's website will be listed on the exhibition page and should result in increased traffic to the artist's website.

J. Mane Gallery's objective is to promote the artists, worldwide, to art professionals, galleries, collectors and buyers.

J. Mane Gallery utilizes the Submittable platform to receive, process and jury all competition entries.

Artists who submit an entry and images to J. Mane Gallery must agree to J. Mane Gallery's Terms Of Service, and Competition Rules.

Happy 2021 everyone! Eventually we are re-opening our doors this coming April and thus taking new submissions to exhibit at Siilk Gallery at our space in Athens, Greece space for the months June & July. 

Info about the gallery:

Our gallery is situated in the Exarchia / Neapoli area of Athens, Greece on a hip street “Askipilou”. The area is the center of art and culture in Athens, it has a thriving arts scene and community. Exarchia has an edgy alternative vibe, its streets decorated with politically charged murals and lined with anarchist bookshops and stores selling rare vinyl and vintage antiques. Bars and clubs host live music, including rembetika, jazz and punk acts. For night life and the arts, entertainment and contemporary culture it is the place to be in Athens, Greece.

The Gallery is an open plan 100sqm space with a small bar, library, chill area and small photography studio / projection room.

It is in a very central location with access from a main road, it is flooded with natural light and double glass frontage so it makes for a very bright exhibiting space.

How the exhibits work:

At Silk Gallery we offer 3m of wall space for a 1 month (4 week) exhibition. You work will be curated alongside another 3/4 photographers from around the world to exhibit at our space. We will have an opening evening for each exhibition with press attendees, we will have private viewings as well as local and international coverage of each event event.

All works will be available for sale in the gallery and via the website online.

The exhibition program includes:

4 week exhibition at Silk Gallery
Private view/press viewings and other publicity
Design and printing of invitations, mail out and social media invites
Curation & Installation of works
Photography of work / installation to be featured online and in press
Featured work & artist information on and social medias
Opening event with music and drinks sponsor
Pop up events throughout the month at the gallery space

Payment & Pricing:

The price per 3m wall space is €300 for 4 weeks exhibition as well as having work featured in the online alongside and interview and shared on social media platforms and in local press. Shared with magazines, press and blogs as part of the press release. We take 0% commission on works sold.

If you are unable to attend the opening - works can either be delivered to Asklipiou 73, Athens, 114 71, Greece.

We can also organize printing in house and if you are looking for external funding we are happy to send an invitation after confirmation of exhibiting to support any applications.

The works will be reviewed by the gallery curator and advisor, we will try to reply to everyone who submits works.

For this Call for Art Las Laguna Gallery is looking for works by photographers. Las Laguna Gallery invites artists working in all photographic mediums to submit images to be considered for an exhibition. The theme for this Call for Entry is open.

Photography provides many things; proof that something happened, the ability to capture a moment or memories, or as a means of communication. Is your work innovative and interesting? Will your submission be artistic or awe-inspiring? We are looking for works that excite and inspire. Works that could make your viewer laugh or you’re your viewer cry. We’d like to see works that show your ingenuity, talent, heart, and perception.

Works in color or black and white are acceptable. All types of photography mediums including iphone, Polaroid, digital prints on any medium will be considered.

All local, national and international artists, professional and amateur and multiple art mediums will be considered in this call for art.

Note:  Our gallery is open to the public now. Clients and guests are invited to visit as long as they have proper PPE.

All artists who submit to this show will be accepted and have at least one of their submitted works posted on our website, promoted on Facebook.

A select number of artists will send their work into the gallery for the in person exhibition at our brick and mortar gallery.

Photography Now 2020 - The Center for Photography at Woodstock




Photography Now is CPW’s annual call to discover the most compelling photography projects in the US and beyond. This call is juried by a different leading curator every year. The Director’s Purchase Prize is awarded to one individual, whose work is purchased by CPW for inclusion in CPW’s Permanent Print Collection.

Photography Now 2020 JUROR: Andy Adams

Andy Adams is a culture producer and digital director with a passion for visual media + creative communications. Since 2004, he has consulted arts organizations and cultural institutions that use the Internet to engage, inspire, and educate the public.

Adams is a pioneer in the field of online art exhibition and has collaborated with the RISD Museum of Art, the Australian Centre for Photography, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and numerous other organizations. He is the Director of FlakPhoto Projects, a web-based digital/arts lab focused on promoting photography in all of its forms.

In his spare time, he hosts the FlakPhoto Network, a 16,000-member online community focused on conversations about visual/media culture. Find him on Instagram @FlakPhoto.

Director's Purchase Prize: One work from the exhibition will be purchased by CPW for our permanent print collection.

All submitters will be offered a complimentary 15 minute Virtual Handshake meeting with CPW staff.
