Thessaloniki International Digital Arts festival (THEDAF) THEDAF #1 “Thessaloniki: Affective Atmospheres (Part 1)”

The international Eye's Walk Digital Festival and the MOMus-Museum of Contemporary Art embark on a unique collaboration: The quite new Thessaloniki International Digital Arts Festival (THEDAF) is sought to expand the concept of heritage and become a meeting point for contemporary art with the public history of Thessaloniki today, through digital art, performance, circus art, and psychogeographical wandering.

We invite participants to share affective atmospheres and personal and collective experiences around the city, its connection with the rest of the world and ultimately its future.
Because the future for us is never merely idealistic or local but encompasses action and the possibility of coexistence with the world.

Scratch

You bring the weird and wonderful, we'll bring the people. Scratch is a chance for creatives to test their performance based work for an audience.

Our last Thursday Scratch Nights at Mirage Bar offer a monthly dedicated space for live artists and performers to test out new and developing ideas. They are a chance for creatives to show their stuff in front of a live and supportive audience, with a social afterwards to network and receive feedback!

This series of events will be informal, for creatives to test ideas in real time, experiment, take risks and share new work with peers and the public.

International open call for two site-specific performances

The Biennale Teatro intends to promote the call for Site-Specific Performances under 40 again in 2024, in order to give voice and visibility to those working in the theatrical scene, thus remaining faithful to its formative mission.

This is a call for an unpublished performance work outdoors, in Venetian "campi" - places of everyday life in the lagoon - that will be identified by the artistic direction.

In this need to construct a performative gesture in the social perimeters of everyday life, the theatrical fact will be placed in vital spaces, reviving the sense of collectivity that art must be able to bring to its citizens.
