Eligibility:

The Show Anything Show 2020 is an open call for artists to exhibit simple, fast, vibrant, insightful and diverse work. We want to invite artists to present art and performance at the iconic Wee Red Bar in Edinburgh.

Anyone who would like to be involved must arrive on the 20th March between 12 pm – 3 pm to install work and enjoy a magnificent evening! We accept work from emerging and established artists as well as performers and anyone working outside the conventional art boundaries.

Join the ‘Show Anything Show’ as a chance for artists, at all stages of their career, to get involved, get feedback on their creative endeavours and meet other artists. On the night, we are open to artists giving a 5-minute talk and testing out new performances and poetry.

The ‘Show Anything Show’ does not want to be a pristine and beautifully curated exhibition, but a gathering of creative endurance. Alternatively, if you don’t want to bring work, bring yourself and make work on the day!

It is free to submit work to this event, and all you must do is bring the artwork!

What to do if you would like to take part in this one-day event:

1.       Bring some work or make some work
2.       Bring some friends
3.       Fill the artist sign-in sheet so we can promote you online
4.       Install some work

all for Submissions: HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP)

Created 20 years ago to address a compelling need in the field—the void of artistic, administrative, and financial support for artists with certain professional accomplishments, but without breakthrough recognition—the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP) assists artists who are developing distinct artistic voices and experimenting with new approaches that expand the parameters of performance work.

As one of the most robust residency programs of this nature in the country and serving as a national model, HARP provides a commission, developmental support, career planning, and a full production to cross-genre artists, within a collaborative environment of peers working across disparate art forms – including theatre, dance, music, puppetry, visual art, and new media. HARP provides significant long-term support, as well as $50,000 in cash and $50,000 in space, equipment, and services over 2-3 years to tailor each residency to each artist’s individual needs. Through significant investment of time and resources, dynamic work within a strong community is created.
