Greetings From

September 18 - October 15, 2020

The St. Louis Artists' Guild invites artists to participate in our first national “Greetings From” postcard-size on-site exhibition.

The “Greetings From” exhibition will feature original creations in an all media by established and aspiring artists from around the country. This is a unique occasion where there is opportunity for ALL interested artists to exhibit.

All works must be 4”x 6” (post card size) and mailed through the postal service. 100 lb cover (270 gsm) is a popular thickness for postcards. Many home printers cannot support stock this thick, so 80 lb cover (215 gsm) should meet the postal regulation for postcard thickness. For more details, view the guidelines on the USPS website here.

The St. Louis Artists’ Guild will use part of the entry fee to send any requested artwork back to artists through the postal service.

In 2018, St Richard's Catholic College, raised almost £15,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in memory of former pupil, Sophie Maria Taylor, who died in April 2017.  Celebrities, renowned artists – including Sir Quentin Blake, Liz Pichon, Thomas Taylor and
Bob & Roberta Smith – pupils, parents, staff and accomplished local artists were among those to contribute wonderful art work to the Secret Postcard auction, and more than 570 original postcards were auctioned on eBay.
To commemorate what would have been Sophie’s final year at St Richard’s, we are again running the Secret Postcard auction and this time we are setting ourselves a target of 1000 wonderful original postcard works of art. We have already received incredible artwork from Sir Quentin Blake, Axel Scheffler and Jacquline Wilson.

The auction will run for 10 days on eBay and end on Saturday 27th June 2020. All postcards are uploaded to our website www.sophiespostcard.com where you can find out more information and see artwork submitted in 2018 and this year.
Artwork can be completed postcard sized paper and to be signed on the back.

Artwork deadline 1st June 2020
