Artist Talk: Michael Kinsey

Join us for Michael Kinsey's artist talk Thursday, April 4, 5:30-7 pm!

Michael will be discussing his exhibition "Views from the New Horizon: Portraits from Sarasota Magazine's "Listening to Black Voices" Series" which is on view at Art Center Sarasota through April 20.

Registration is $5 

5:30-6 pm - complimentary drinks & mingling
6-7 pm - artist talk

Michael will be in conversation with Jessika Ward, Multimedia Journalist, Documentary Filmmaker and Writer.

Natasha will be discussing her exhibition "Through Sorrow into Light" which is on view through April 20.

Annual Juried Regional Show: Beyond Comfort

Beyond Comfort invites artists to express their perception of beauty and/or the grotesque in contemporary art and society.  This show allows artists to define and explore aesthetics while joining the long debated concept of beauty and its function in art.

Juror: Virginia Shearer, Executive Director, Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College of Art and Design.

Call to Artists: Great Artists Steal

Artists are invited to submit work to our current open call Great Artists Steal from Weds Jan 3 - Sun, Feb 18, 2024

The juror for this exhibition is Alicia Harper, Professor of Art History at SCF.

Submissions are welcome in all media including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, mixed media, digital arts, sculpture and video.
