The Sound of Food Live

Join Pheobe riley Law and Meli Berney at Kupfer Projects on Thursday the 28th November for a sound performance adding a new layer to their participatory installation and accompanying book, The Sound Of Food. The Sound of Food was produced through an international open call for recipes (and the memories and stories that respondents attach to them), and is currently on display in Kupfer Projects’ Other Encounters, curated by Jesse Scott.

New Assemblies

New Assemblies is an invitation to creatives of any background to come spend the evening at Kupfer projects for an opportunity to build new connections and communities with other London creatives – whether that just means making new friends within London’s creative scenes or developing new collaborations for your upcoming project.

A short series of low-key activities will help make sure you get the opportunity to make the right connections with people you think may help build your network or move your creative practice along in ways that are important to you.

Paid Practice Development Series

This project aims to put you in control over building your creative future — identifying future practice goals, curatorial support and networking needs to develop a new body of work, alongside two other emerging artists. This four-month project will combine aspects of peer-learning and supported mentorship by London-based artists and curators. Through peer-led sessions, you will be invited to share aspects of your practice that you’d like to explore or develop with the collective, as well as facilitating outings to events that you hope will offer opportunities for further learning and network-building.

Call for Contributors or Co-Producers for Emerging Artist Development

This paid opportunity invites 3-4 individuals or collectives to support a four-month long young artist development programme launching in May 2024, intended to support emerging artists finding barriers to entering creative careers, as well as new arts graduates struggling to find early career opportunities. Delivered through a combination of participant-led peer-learning workshops and three mentorship or practice development sessions, this project will offer participants reflexive mentorship and networking opportunities with artists and gallery professionals in London.
