ING Discerning Eye 2020

The ING Discerning Eye 2020 is now calling for entries from UK artists!

The exhibition’s new format gives artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a virtual gallery and win a range of prizes - including the ING Purchase Prize worth £5,000 - as well as specific medium and regional awards.

For the first time in its history, this year’s edition of the ING Discerning Eye will be held 100% virtually, helping artists display their work online!

A new online submission process will run until 1 October 2020, making it even easier for artists from across the UK to submit their work and take part.

ROYGBIV

Second Street Gallery is currently accepting submissions for our June/July 2021 exhibition, ROYGBIV.

In Season 46, Second Street Gallery curator, Kristen Chiacchia, challenged a group of local artists to explore new ideas of tones, texture, composition, and expression using only black, white, and shades of grey. In June of Season 47 SSG will present ROYGBIV, an exhibition that will assign one color on the visible light spectrum to seven participating artists. Each artist will create works of art using only shades of their assigned color, following the rich tradition of monochromatic painting in avant-garde visual art throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.

September 18 - October 15, 2020

The St. Louis Artists' Guild invites artists to participate in our first national “Greetings From” postcard-size on-site exhibition.

The “Greetings From” exhibition will feature original creations in an all media by established and aspiring artists from around the country. This is a unique occasion where there is opportunity for ALL interested artists to exhibit.

All works must be 4”x 6” (post card size) and mailed through the postal service. 100 lb cover (270 gsm) is a popular thickness for postcards. Many home printers cannot support stock this thick, so 80 lb cover (215 gsm) should meet the postal regulation for postcard thickness. For more details, view the guidelines on the USPS website here.
