- About -

I have studied filmmaking at the London Film School and I have produced and directed several documentaries for television, mainly Channel 4, U.K. Gradually my interests moved to art in general and now my practice includes painting, photography and videos. I often work at the interface of opposites e.g. Abstract/Figurative, Subjective/Objective, Looking/Perceiving. I am both an abstract and representational painter and I believe in the primacy of painting. I have taken part in more than 40 exhibitions. I have been shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2015 and selected for the Creekside Open in 2011 and 2017, the Discerning Eye 2016 and National Open Art 2016. At the Alsager Gallery of the Manchester Metropolitan University 25 of my paintings were shown and at the Kirkby Gallery my series of paintings inspired by T.S.Eliot’s ‘The Waste Land’ was shown.
