Mind Body Spirit

J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its mind body spirit online juried art exhibition.

Oscar Wilde said, "Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter."

Throughout history, the human figure has always been a common subject of visual art, involving the study and appreciation of it's beauty in it's depiction and presentation.  An awareness of the body shape, including postures like sitting, standing or sleeping and movements such as walking, running or dancing, speak to the ideal subject.

+359 Gallery International Resident Program

International resident program

Gallery +359 is located in the building of a preserved water tower in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was designed in 1903 by the German engineer Franz Salbach, and the structure was finished in 1929. 27 meters tall, it was built at the highest point of the Lozenets district in Sofia (610.40 m), based on a French system for construction of water towers with reinforced concrete and brick masonry. The tower’s tank, now hosting various video and audio projects, has a volume of 100 cubic meters. In the past, apart from being a hydraulic structure, the architecture of the building permitted it to serve as a watchtower.

2021 Artist-in-Residency Open Call

The 2021 Flux Factory Artist-in-Residence Open Call is EXTENDED! The deadline is now Monday, December 14th @11:59 PM EST.

2020 has been a complicated and challenging year for all of us, including Flux Factory. To ensure the safety of our community, we have not invited any new residents since we shut down in March. By adhering to public health guidance about how to be together safely, we are excited to be able to invite a limited number of new Artists-in-Residence to join the Flux Factory family in 2021.

In 2021, we are inviting artists for residencies of 3 – 6 months, including artists, curators, community organizers, urban agriculturalists, educators, builders, game designers and musicians and more.

1.5 degrees

Exhibition 15.1.2021 – 12.3.2021

The 1.5-degree target is understood to mean the goal of limiting the man-made global temperature increase due to the greenhouse effect to 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2100 from the level before the start of industrialization. Almost all the states of the world have signed a treaty with the Paris Convention, according to which they intend to make efforts to achieve the 1.5 degree target. Climate researchers doubt that we will reach this goal, we would already be at 2 degrees. There is a lack of political will. Fridays for Future are fighting to keep the contract.

All Women

J. Mane Gallery invites submissions for its All Women online juried art exhibition.

Women artists have been making art throughout history, however their work, when compared to their male counterparts, tends to be overlooked and undervalued.  Women artists are often aced with challenges due to gender biases in the fine art world.

Therefore,  we are honoring women artists.  We invite you to submit work that best represents you as an artists.  All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best art and photography.
