Open Call for Artist Banners

The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum, in partnership with the Queens Council on the Arts and Asian American Arts Alliance, is announcing an open call for emerging artists based in Queens and self-identifying as Asian American and Pacific Islander to submit designs for the Museum’s three outdoor banners. The open call comes out of a museum-wide desire to raise awareness and amplify the voices of local Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) creatives, in response to the ongoing violence against the AAPI community across the United States. Three artists will be chosen by a jury composed of The Noguchi Museum’s organizing committee, a cross departmental group of staff volunteers; and one representative from each of the partnering organizations.

International Art Competition Faces

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 2nd "Faces" Online Art Competition for the month of September. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. Only the face of a person or animal should be visible (single person, a group, or self-portrait). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. First place will be on the poster of the show.

Artist's Choice Art Contest

Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the second Artist's Choice online art contest for the month of September 2021. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit. Contest is open to all media and all subject matter in any style. All winning artists (Merit Award & Honorable Mention) will receive a digital award certificate. The Best of Show winning artwork will be displayed as the poster of the show. $16 for 2 images, $30 for 4 images, $42 for 6 images, and $50 for up to 8 images. Deadline: September 9, 2021.

International Art Competition Painting & Photography

Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 2nd "Painting & Photography" Online Art Competition for the month of September 2021. This is the open subject theme. Artists from around the world are welcome to submit. The Gallery will accept entries in 2 different cattegories (painting and photography). Other visual art mediums are not allowed. All winning artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article about the artist and their work. First place will be on the poster of the show. $15 for 2 images, $28 for 4 images and $40 for up to 6 images. Deadline: September 2, 2021.

We are now accepting submissions for our physical art exhibition ‘AURA’.

Artists from all countries are welcome to submit their works for consideration. You are welcome to submit works in any medium. (painting, photography, printmaking, video art, installation, films, sculpting, mixed media, poems, illustration, etc). The theme of the exhibition is OPEN.

Any artist from any background can submit any of their work. There is no charge to submit your application, please feel free to share your work with us. A fee (£250) is applied per artist once they have been selected for the exhibition.

The team will review all applications and the selected work will be announced in August and September.
