Paid Practice Development Series

This project aims to put you in control over building your creative future — identifying future practice goals, curatorial support and networking needs to develop a new body of work, alongside two other emerging artists. This four-month project will combine aspects of peer-learning and supported mentorship by London-based artists and curators. Through peer-led sessions, you will be invited to share aspects of your practice that you’d like to explore or develop with the collective, as well as facilitating outings to events that you hope will offer opportunities for further learning and network-building.

Get Lost with Oren Ambarchi And Crys Cole

CAMP is a residential arts facility in the French Pyrenees. It's a place where great art is made, new movements are formed, new ideas are explored and groundbreaking people are nurtured. CAMP is located in Aulus les Bains, the last village before the France/Spain Pyrenean frontier chain. The location is spectacular - we are nestled at 750m above sea level, surrounded by snowcapped peaks over 3000m high, ancient forests and cascading waterfalls. There are eagles, lammergeiers, vultures, ibex and bears. Walk out of the residency, and within ten minutes you are completely alone in one of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in Europe.

Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) : Application writing workshop

Mark Devereux Projects are pleased to offer our next online workshop to support artists & creatives who are planning an application to Round 13 of Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice (DYCP) programme. Taking place on Tuesday 1 March (6-7:30pm) and led by Mark Devereux, this workshop will address the core questions helping you create a strong application.

As one of the core funders for individual artists, Arts Council England grants can unlock and create important developmental opportunities to help you take your practice and ideas to the next level. The online workshop (via Zoom) will take an in-depth look at the application process for the DYCP programme – dissecting the questions, what they mean and the detail the assessors are looking for.

Dialogues 2022

Mark Devereux Projects invites applications for Dialogues; a 14-week programme of critical exchange, group workshops and one-to-one mentoring for up to twelve artists.

Practicing as an artist can often be a solitary experience – making work, developing ideas and not always knowing whether it is communicating what you aim for. Critique and conversations can be essential in the development of your practice. Dialogues will focus on nurturing your core ideas and ambitions, helping manifest these within the making of your work.

Critical Mass

Critical Mass is a new artist learning and development project by Mark Devereux Projects. Providing a comprehensive programme of critical conversations, skill sharing and career development support – the content will be fully tailored to the requirements of each individual artist.

Designed in response to the needs of artists, Critical Mass has been created to offer responsive, affordable and accessible learning and development for ten practitioners who have been outside of undergraduate education for three or more years.
