Las Laguna Gallery is seeking art that explores values of one color.

The term monochrome describes paintings, drawings, design, or photographs in one color or values of one color.

For this call for art Las Laguna Gallery challenges artists to explore not only the range of tones of black and white, but also explore the range of a single color.

All local, national and international artists, professional and amateur and multiple art mediums will be considered in this call for art.

Works in Acrylic, Airbrush, Assemblage, Charcoal, Color Pencil, Collage, Digital Art, Drawings, Encaustic, Fiber Art, Graphite, Illustration, Mixed Media, New Media, Oil, Painting, Pastel, Photography (Traditional and Digital), and Watercolor, will be considered.

Black & White: Juried All-Media Exhibition

The Northville Art House, 215 W. Cady St, Northville, MI presents BLACK & WHITE to be held February 7 – 29, 2020. This juried all-media exhibition will showcase the power and range of monochromatic colors through works that comprise of only blacks, grays, and whites. Artists, 18 and over, may submit a maximum of 3 works of art created in any media, except video, within the last 5 years, and not previously exhibited at the Art House. Submissions are open to the artists' interpretation as long as the artwork consists entirely of black, gray and white values. No other color is allowed. The maximum size of all artwork including the frame is 54” in any direction. Artwork is preferred to be for sale. Over $700 in awards for 1 - 4 place & HMs.

3rd Annual Black & White Art Competition

Fusion Art invites submissions for the 3rd Annual Black & White art competition.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography using Black and White and the nuanced shades in between. Any subject matter and any media are acceptable for this competition.

The artwork can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and artists, regardless of location or experience, are encouraged to submit their best representational and/or nonrepresentational art and photography.

Cash prizes and an invitation to Fusion Art's 4th Annual Group Show in 2020 for Best in Show winners.
