ADELAIDE DAMOAH: GENESIS

Genesis will see British artist Adelaide Damoah, member of the Black British Female Artist Collective, present a new and ambitious body of work exploring sexuality, gendered subjectivity and race. Simultaneously referencing and inverting Yves Klein’s 1960 performance Anthropométrie de l’époque bleue, which saw the artist use female participants as malleable  ‘printmaking tools’, Damoah has instead assumed the role of living paint brush, using her own body to make painterly gestures, exerting her power as a black female artist.

Call for Artists – New Opportunity: Single Work Application - Artrooms Fair London 2019 –

Artrooms Fair has doubled the opportunity for its London 5th Edition!

The Single Work Application consists in submitting 1 application for only 1 work and, if selected, artists will not be required to attend the fair.

The call is open to independent artists from all over the world, from all different backgrounds and media.

It is a great opportunity for all artists who express their interest in Artrooms Fair but experience difficulties in covering transport and accommodation expenses on top of the shipment and/or getting a travel VISA, and considering also the emerging artists who haven’t got a wide portfolio to show to the public yet.

Artrooms is the first international contemporary art fair offering free exhibition space to independent artists.

SURFACES FESTIVAL will be presented in Venice from 26-27th May 2018 to 25th November 2018 at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi and other prestigious venues and historical buildings, during the same period of the BIENNALE ARCHITETTURA 2018 – 16th International Architecture Exhibition.

holds Content  and Cover Competition  for Online Special issue: Digital Art and Photography.

Multiple winners will be chosen: Four artists will be awarded to be on the Covers (Front Cover, Back Cover, Inside Front Cover and Inside Back Cover) and 20+ artists will be chosen to be published in the Online magazine.
